MINUTES OF MEETING
Membership applications; 28 submitted and accepted.
Financial Report delivered by Dave Grace
No bell jar report.
Old Business:
-Honorary members: The board has decided that from this point forward, no honorary members will be appointed without extenuating circumstances. Also, the board decided to honor the certificate given to Ryan Sumi and refund his $50 dues paid for 2013. Mike Janda paid him out of the weekly drawing funds.
-Gym air conditioning: Just an update, Jim Williams will be testing the clubs power output to ensure that we are properly wired to support the new A/C system being installed
-Queen of Hearts: We are currently still looking for members to volunteer for the queen of hearts committee. Keith is planning on sending out an email requesting volunteers.
New Business:
- Golf tournament: This year’s tourney will be held on 9 July at Deerwood Golf Course. Keith informed the board that a $105 deposit is required asap.
- Monday golf: The board received a letter from the Monday night mens golf leagued requesting that the club pay for half of the league fees. The board agreed to pay the $400 required to fund the league.
- Scholarships: The coach Baronich and Glen Grey $500 scholarship winners have been selected. The $1000 club scholarship packages are due no later than 30 April 2014.
- Back patio: Kenny Braun reported to the board that he plans on going through with a plan to install and awning over the driveway from the new garage to the gym. This was approved by the general body a few years back when the addition was put on.
- Softball: The board was approached about fielding a new softball team. The board approved the plan, it is now in the hands of the interested members to organize the team.
- Pull tabs: Vending machine has been approved. Also need to talk to Ray Gay sales, who mentioned the possibility of giving us one for free on a trial basis.
- Club entry: Lou got an estimate for electronic entry into the club. The first option was a swipe card which would run approxiametly $4750 and come with 1000 blank key cards. The other system would be a key fob system which costs approximately $5500 with 1000 fobs. After a lengthy discussion the board decided to go with the key fob system. Also, we decided to move the fob reader to the inner door of the foyer to allow for the bar tender to screen who is coming in. As a means of recuperating the money necessary to install the system, we will be charging members $10 per key fob.
General body meeting will be held Saturday, 12 April 2014
Meeting Called to a close at 2010
Respectfully yours,
Alan Frankosky
